You may be wondering why there are two locations on the map! I was born and raised in the small town of Irwin, Pennsylvania which is about 30 minutes east of Pittsburgh. It’s where my family is and where my husband and I decided to live as well. I love the small town feel that Irwin has, and how everyone knows everyone! Pittsburgh is also just one exit down on the turnpike! It is very convenient for weddings in the city.
And then there is Oakland, Maryland: the town that holds the other half of my heart. All of my life, my family has packed up our bags in April and headed to our summer home for weekend fun. We do this every weekend until October when we close up the house and hibernate in the slightly warmer climate of Pennsylvania. My great grandfather bought the property in 1952, and as our families have grown, so has our house, and our hearts! We have a “cabin” right on Deep Creek Lake, where we disconnect from the world (no internet, no good cell reception) and just enjoy each other’s company. Water sports are real big in my family, especially skiing and water tubing. Personally, I am a big fan of kayaking. The scenery there is gorgeous! My, oh my! It’s to die for. So many mountains to climb and waterfalls to swim in. I could take pictures there every day and never complain.
I have photographed many weddings in both states, as well as New York, New Jersey, Delaware, West Virginia, Virginia, and Ohio! There are so many beautiful places in this world! Why not see them all?
If your wedding is held within 100 miles of Irwin or Oakland, I do not charge a travel fee! If it is more than 100 miles, just use the contact form and let me know where everything will be taking place and I’ll work up a custom quote for you.
